The Epic Experience
1. Initial meeting
Planning a holiday should be a fun experience. When we meet, it’s a relaxed and comfortable opportunity to ask questions and get informed answers from an expert.
We work with you to design a custom made holiday that is exclusively yours – not a package that everyone is jumping on. We can meet at your home, or our office, or your favourite café, at a time that is convenient to you.
2. Itinerary & Pricing
Once we know the outline of what you’re looking for, we then build your epic holiday to ensure it’s perfect.
We’ll send you an itinerary proposal that outlines your destinations, accommodations, transport options, and some sightseeing suggestions, with a price that tells you exactly what’s included and what isn’t.
We can then work together with you to make any changes and amendments you wish – after all, it’s your holiday!
3. Ongoing Trip Planning
So you’ve now booked the itinerary but the planning doesn’t stop there.
Several times prior to your holiday, we’ll sit with you to plan your day to day sightseeing and make sure that you don’t miss anything that you want to see while you’re on your epic holiday.
4. Support while you’re away
Sometimes, things are outside of our control and there can be schedule changes with your flights, or obstacles to overcome – and we’ve seen it all, from train shutdowns to stolen passports.
We’re only a message or phone call away and we’re available to you 24/7 from the convenience of your phone.
Fees
In a fee-orientated world, where the majority of travel agencies are asking for “Trip Planning Fees” or “Commitment Deposits” before they start looking at your trip, we prefer to put your holiday ahead of an upfront invoice.
While your planning fees or commitment deposits come off the cost of your eventual booking, they don't make it easy for you to shop around if you want to, or consider the offerings of other travel advisors.
At Epic Travel, we don’t charge any fees or deposits until you’re ready to book your holiday – which is after we have provided you with a comprehensive itinerary, and quote – all of which is customised for your bespoke trip.

Airlines have lowered commission to travel agencies to 1% on average (approximately $15 per ticket) and as an industry we are encouraged to charge service fees to compensate ourselves as a result.
At Epic Travel, if your flights are part of a larger package including accommodation, and other components, then we don’t add any fees on to the airline price.
If you are looking for an Epic Travel Advisor to assist with your flights only, because you’re staying with family or have arrangements on the ground already, we do charge a $150 per person service fee for international flights, or flights within other countries, and $50 per sector, per person fee for domestic flights within Australia.
